After the excellent heats provided at Motorland Aragon, Davide Giugliano and the Althea Racing team were eager to confirm their competitiveness also in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, the rain and the wet track affected Giugliano’s performance in the first free practice session this afternoon where he reached the twelfth position (2'03 "362) and was the author of a slide in the 5th curve of the track, thankfully without any physical consequences. The first session of qualifying completed this afternoon under the rain and Giugliano (1'59 "317) was consistently in the top positions of the ranking, finishing in the fifth place.

Tomorrow the weather forecast will have an improvement and therefore the Assen circuit should be dry for qualifications and Superpole.

Davide Giugliano: "This morning we did only few laps, because the mixed conditions of the track, only partially wet, did not allow us to try further. Even in the afternoon, under the rain, I didn’t run all the laps that I wanted to, but we still worked a lot on my RSV4 and we managed to find very fast and good pace that allowed me to finish in fifth place. But tomorrow the weather should be different and then we should get ready for a dry qualification and Superpole".
