The Pata Honda World Supersport team has completed a three-day test at Aragon as it continues preparation for round two of the 2013 championship at the Spanish circuit next weekend.

After a sensational debut podium at the opening round at Phillip Island in Australia in February, Dutch rider Michael van der Mark continued to show impressive speed and maturity during the test.

The team will now return to base in The Netherlands, leaving bikes and equipment in Spain before reconvening at Aragon for the second round World Supersport championship race, which will take place on Sunday 14 April.

Michael van der Mark

We tried a lot of different things over the first two days of this Aragon test and we were happy with the race pace that we found in simulations. I wasn’t able to find a really good lap and the final day was wet in the morning and then it rained again in the afternoon. But I know the areas where I need to improve during the race weekend. I’m going to enjoy a few days of relaxing now and I can’t wait to get back on the bike again here next week.

Pieter Breddels – technical co-ordinator

Our Supersport test here at Aragon has been pretty good, really. Michael was able to keep improving his times and we were able to improve the electronics on the CBR some more, too.
