Mar-Train Yamaha's Stuart Easton stormed to the Motorpoint British Supersport double, getting the better of Gearlink Kawasaki duo Alastair Seeley and Ben Wilson in a race that was once again cut short due to the red flag.

After the front pack settled down, it was a seven rider dice for the lead and they were swapping places lap after lap. Smiths Triumph's Billy McConnell had a early share of the lead with his team-mate also battling through after his crash in the first race this morning. Seton Yamaha's Graeme Gowland was also having a good run at the front, pushing the Gearlink Kawasaki twosome to the limit.

With just a hand-full of laps remaining Seeley was in front but in a classic Thruxton over-taking manoeuvre, wee Scotsman Easton moved past Seeley on the slipstream and then brakes into the Club chicane. Behind, Wilson battled past Adelaide man McConnell to move into third and reigning champion, Richards, was looking a real threat for the race win, moving into fifth after languishing in tenth place at one point through the race.

The red flag was then brought out, ending the race short, after an incident involving Nikki Coates and Sam Hornsey. The result was declared meaning Easton claimed a superlative double race victory. Seeley ended up second but leaves Thruxton as the championship leader.

Gowland came across the line sixth, behind Wilson, McConnell and Richards, just 1.2 seconds behind the winner. Australian Jason O'Halloran came home ahead of Glenn Irwin and Ten-Kate racing backed rider Luke Jones. First of the cup competitors for the fourth time in a row was Jake Dixon, who also rounded out the top ten.
