Ferrari's Sebastan Vettel established that 2017 was going to be a season long battle with Lewis Hamilton after finishing 2nd in the Chinese Grand Prix. After a chaotic start to the race, Vettel, like most of the drivers, opted for an early pit after lap 2 due to the virtual safety car being deployed following a collision between Williams' Lance Stroll and Force India's Sergio Perez. This resulted in Vettel dropping down to 6th place and putting him in the drivers seat for the lead. However due to another crash and another safety car deployment overall victory was out of the question.Due to the circumstance Vettel had the obstacle of the 2 Red bulls of Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen, who had moved from 16th on the grid to 7th on the first lap. On lap 13 Vettel made the pass of the race on Ricciardo, overtaking around the outside of turn 5, proving that he is one of the best in the business. It was only a matter of time before Vettel would get the better of the flying Dutchman Verstappen. That time came on the halfway point on lap 28 with Vettel forcing the young Red bull driver into a mistake giving Vettel the perfect opportunity to move up into 2nd spot. The 4 time world champion finished second behind Lewis Hamilton and the young red Bull Driver Max Verstappen rounded off the podium places in 3rd.Image courtesy of Autosport.
